Our Burning Bush (Euonymus alata) shrubs are beginning to turn red now, especially the ones growing in full sun. We have many of these shrubs, including some very old and large ones on a steep grassy slope behind the house. These shrubs will eventually completely turn a very intense red color but I think they’re pretty right now with the green and red mixed leaf colors and the bright red berries. Although these shrubs are overused and invasive in a lot of areas, they are not invasive here and I love them. Click photos to view larger.

I do like the mix of green and red as well. My Mom has two of these bushes along their driveway and they are astounding when in full red dress.
They really are so bright red in the fall that it’s startling. The state plants these along the roadsides here and it’s breathtaking when they are completely red.
Hello, my name is Titus Wise , i live in Michigan and i have several burning bushes. I have three of them that have webs on them, the webs have little worms in them. Any suggestions?
Hi Titus,
Not sure of what they could be, you might look for some type of spray for them that would be safe for garden use. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
