I love this elegant, delicate flower. Peacock orchids (Gladiolus callianthus), also known as Abyssinian Gladiolus, Fragrant Gladiolus and Sword Lily is a perennial bulb, gets 2-3 feet tall with iris-like sword shaped leaves, and blooms mid-summer to fall. Each spike has several very fragrant white flowers with dark maroon centers. I have a few clumps of these in my flower beds, and the tall foliage looks nice even when not in bloom.

Again, amazed at the amount and variety of flowers under your care. So beautiful.
Oh, thank you Louise. I love to try out new things in my flower beds, and have been doing that for years — so I’ve ended up with a lot of different types of flowers. This drought is making it hard right now though, I’m finding it extremely difficult to keep all this stuff watered. We so need rain here. As always, thank you for visiting. :)
This Peacock Orchid is so lovely. Are there any for sale. Would love to own one. How will you notify me?
