We bought a new gazebo and I am loving it! It is a 12′ octagon shape with a cupola, two flower boxes, and a lot of detailed trim. We had it delivered a few days before the Memorial Day weekend, and have been so busy lately planting flowers and landscaping around it. It sits near one end of the secret garden and looks as if we planned it this way. We didn’t. :) The stone pathways we created were originally intended to meander through this shady border at the edge of the woods but now the path leads to the steps of this gazebo, my new favorite place to sit. I have a very closeup view of the bird feeders on one side, a small view of the lake through the trees on another, the secret garden in front and woods surrounding the entire area. We moved patio furniture, plants, and a chiminea (with candles) into it and still have to stain the steps to match the gazebo and finish up the landscaping around it. I have already spent a lot of time in it and am enjoying it very much!

Looks like all your work was well worth it! A perfect little hide-a-way! Looking forward to seeing more great photos from your home away from home.
Thank you, Deborah. :) Hopefully, we will enjoy it for a long time to come.
It must feel like a little home away from the main house. It’s really gorgeous with all the green and flowering things around it. Beautiful job. It looks like it should be shown in a magazine!
Hi Quietpaths,
Thank you! It’s a great place to read or watch birds.
Congratulations on creating such a wonderful spot! I wish I could curl up there with a book! Very inspiring!
Thank you, Maggie. Yes, I’ve already been curled up out there with a book. :)
It’s good to see you back!
What a beautiful gazebo. My dream is to own one of those but I think I need to get a home with a yard first… LOL… don’t think it will fit so well on the 3rd floor balcony. =)
You have the perfect surroundings for this and I can only imagine the restful times you will have in that gazebo… stunning!
Thank you, Michele. :) I am enjoying it very much. I hope you too have one with a home and a yard. Your area, with your gorgeous mountains and scenery would also be a perfect place for one!
