fountain grass flowersI grow Purple Fountain Grass in containers every year. This summer I paired it with white alyssum in a large container on my back deck. It has grown huge this year! It is so big that it is higher than the table I have it sitting next to. The fountain grass is in bloom right now, with large reddish-purple tassels (photo at left). I am very pleased with this simple combination. Click photos to view larger.
