Icy rain turned to snow today, a wet heavy snow that is sticking to the trees. A pine tree has already fallen behind the house, our huge tiki umbrella has collapsed and taken table and all into the pool (thank goodness it was covered). We’re not used to this here!

The snowy woods are pretty, but dangerous.

Red berries on the burning bush stand out against the snow.

Still snowing late this evening.

Lovely photos. I especially like the snowy burning bush.
Thanks, Wazeau! Those red berries do stand out against the snow.
Thank you for visiting,

It’s beautiful sherry! We’ve had a couple light snows up to now, but perhaps a bit more expected up here! :-)
Hi Jim,
Pretty, but a huge mess! It ended up being quite a big snow… complete with downed trees and power lines, icy roads and bitter cold. Definitely not something that we’re used to! :)
I hope your snow stays around long enough that you have a white Christmas Sherry… It’s snowy and 8 degrees here… Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Hi Spider,
8 degrees? It’s bitter cold here too (although not quite as cold as where you are!)
It would be nice to have a white Christmas, but I would rather have only a little snow.. lol. Not as much as we had with this storm. I don’t like those power outages. :)

Snow when you are not used to it can be a big deal for the garden and especially the trees. I especially love your header photo with the plump and rosy bird!
Thanks, Sara. It is definitely a big deal here to have a big snow. That dove looked cold!
That is pretty remarkable for where you live. We’ve been dealing with that kind of weather for more than a month already. Hope you don’t lose too many trees and bushes.
Hi Christine, so far there’s only one large tree down and a few branches out of some others. We’re supposed to have ice tonite though. I’ve had enough of this now.. lol
Hope you’re staying warm!

How I wish there is snow in the Philippines.
Truly a spectacular scenario.
