These photos show a railroad trestle over the lake very close to where I live. I took these on Tuesday. The fall color was gorgeous with the faded yellows and oranges and the bright red of the oaks now being the predominant color, and the haze of the Smoky Mountains in the distance. On Monday night, we had a very light and spotty frost in some areas of the mountains (none here in my yard yet), and then very warm temperatures and heavy rain two nights ago so although a lot of these leaves have fallen now, there are still bright spots of color in the woods. Beautiful photos, I am fond of trains and trestles! It looks like a fisherman in a boat down there.
Amazing fall colors…
Thanks Michele! I love seeing trains and trestles too. Yes, I saw that boat and fisherman down there that day. Looked like he was enjoying himself! :)
the colors are stunning… so rich and vibrant. And the blue water is such a contrast.
Hi Louise, yes the colors were gorgeous this past week! A little frost last night will probably cause a lot of those leaves to fall now, but the color has truly been awesome here this year.
There’s just somethin’ about trains…. and trestles surrounded by gorgeous fall color. Beautiful captures and they make me want to hop a train and head out somewhere.
Hi Quietpaths, I know what you mean, they kinda make me feel like that too. :)
