tufted titmouse in the sunshineWe had beautiful blue skies and sunshine today for a change. It was so nice to get outside and feel warmth and dry air, not to mention not having to worry about keeping my camera dry. :) A few snowy spots are left in the shady areas of the woods, but for the most part, by late evening the snow was gone. Maybe spring isn’t too far away. Click any photo to view larger.

We had such a pretty sunset tonite. The sky was filled with bright orange, glowing clouds for several minutes after the sun went down.

Colorful sunset

sunset clouds through the treesAfter a week of mostly cold and rainy weather followed by two days of high winds, we have had temps in the low 70s and bright sunshine for the past couple of days. The sunset was so gorgeous this evening, I had to run outside with my camera. The glowing light lasted only a moments but I did get a few shots of the sky. Click on any photo to enlarge.

sun beacon and rays

-

A little while before sunset one evening this past week, the sun looked like a beacon shining from behind the clouds. This photo was taken in the Great Smoky Mountains.
