Here are some photos of the beds surrounding the gazebo, a mix of annuals, ornamental grass, perennials and shrubs.

The view from inside the gazebo, my favorite place to sit. The slope bed has ornamental grass, bee balm, Laura Bush petunias, creeping phlox, coneflowers, agastache, loropetalum, and much more.

The pea gravel path that goes around the gazebo and up around the slope bed.

It’s a literal garden of eden. I’m not sure what to say. “The crew” that you hire to do all your planting and landscaping is really good. LOL :-)
Is that variegated caryopteris, C. divericata ‘Snow Fairy’? I know there are others that are not divericata. I’m absolutely IN LOVE with ‘Snow Fairy’ and it’s not even near bloom time here in CT for it.
Alongside the gazebo I think is a loose form Agastache. It’s very tubular, which some hybrid/species are. I just happen to not have them in my yard although I have an inexplicable attraction to them. I’ve got Blue Fortune and Purple Haze at the moment. Do you recall what this one is called?
Much to my partner’s dismay, I did not get to planting any zinnias this year. Looking at your pictures makes me wish I did. We adopted our second child, so I only have so much time outside these days. Argh!!!!!
I received my shipment of Salmon Spreading Sunpatiens! Yeah! They’ve been clipped/cropped but the stems are very thick and stout, I can tell it’s MUCH BIGGER than normal impatiens.
Hi Jim,
Thank you :)
A crew? Oh that sounds nice. I wish! lol
Yes, that is ‘Snow Fairy’. All my caryopteris started blooming at least a month earlier than usual this year. (Most everything was early this year.)
The Agastache at the gazebo is ‘Heat Wave’, and it is usually much taller than that. I get so tired of staking it though, so this year I cut it down to the ground in early May. I like it better like this than the 6 foot tall clump it was last year. :)
Oh, congratulations on your adoption. I imagine that does seriously cut down on the amount of time you get to spend outdoors! :)
Glad you got your sunpatiens, I think you’ll love them.
