OMG! The colors are so vivid on my computer. I can only imagine what they look like in real life! Alas, the one clematis I have I took the wire trellis support away from it. It was located against the lamp post. By summer the vine winds its way up and clusters around the light so densely that light can almost not penetrate! The color of ‘Kilian Donahue’ is sick! Love it! Love all of them. But I really need something that will not grow taller than 6′. Right now that current clematis is essentially growing as a groundcover at the base of the lamp post. LOL I haven’t done anything with it as all. It is however developing tons of flower buds at this point.

They are vividly colored, and I think the Kilian Donahue is my favorite. I have it growing in a lilac tree. Your clematis around the light sounds gorgeous! They’re pretty even as a groundcover.
Each one of these is a beautiful, calendar worthy shot. That is such a great way to “trellis” them too. You gave me an idea!

Thanks! The ‘Climador’ is growing on a tall obelisk — love to use those as they are pretty all year round.
