Looking Forward To Spring

Along with the rest of the country, we have had an extremely mild winter here. No snow, but lots and lots of rain… (the snowy header photo is from last year). I have bulbs and plants sprouting everywhere, and even some green foliage still on petunias in containers I didn’t empty out in the fall. It feels almost like spring already, but it sure will be nice when the calendar says so, won’t it? :)

Hello Sherry, Oh yes spring, that really does have a nice sound to it doesn’t it… But it’s hard to think of spring when the temp is expected to be 5 above tonight… Sherry I hope you have an early spring as I miss all of your beautiful pictures…

Hey Sherry. Funny you send this Greetings just now. My father (in the piedmont) sent me a pic of rows of daffodil leaves in their back yard. I think the recent cold temps probably put an end to them though.

It was 10 yesterday morning and 11 this morning. This is colder than normal, even for us, but really makes me long for sunny warm mornings working in the garden.

  Hello Jim. Yes, we have lots of bulb foliage showing too. We’re having more rain here today… if this were snow, it would have been a blizzard here since Christmas!
  
  10 and 11 degrees makes me shiver just as much as ^Spider’s ^ 5 degrees :)

As has a lot of the country, we have had warmer than normal temps in the desert. I have bulbs coming up also. Nice to hear from you again after your blogging break.
