The Rose of Sharon shrubs (Hibiscus syriacus) have been in bloom now since the first of July. I have quite a few of these shrubs (most are various shades of pink and purple), and this one is my favorite. I have two of these white ones, and on this particular one the flowers are bright white with dark red centers and a rosy pink tinge mixed with the white of the petals. Click to enlarge.

Beautiful picture of Rose of Sharon. I will always love them because my grandmother always had one. They are such easy plants and so enjoyable, not to mention fast growers.
Hi Teresa,
Thanks. I know what you mean, my grandmother always had one of these also. They are such an easy to grow shrub, aren’t they? Thanks for visiting.
Beautiful shot as aways Sherry… It looks like you had been busy watering just befor this picture was taken….
Hi Spider,
Thank you! I took this photo right after a rain shower. We’ve had a couple of rainy days lately— for the last two days I actually haven’t had to water! :)
Delicious! Your yard must be such a lovely place to spend time.
Thank you, Quietpaths. I do enjoy all these flowers and plants. :)
Enjoy — I’d say it’s a match made in heaven.
