orange, red and yellowI just cannot seem to stop taking photographs of my tulips! I am loving all the new varieties I have this year. I purchased a large quantity of tulips and other bulbs from Holland Bulb Farms last year, received the orders in the fall and planted them all at the end of November. I was very pleased with the quality of the bulbs and so far, they are all healthy and blooming well. Every new variety that comes into bloom becomes my new favorite. I’m sure I’ll be making another order from this company this fall as well. Click on any of these photos for a larger view.

Do you like these large-flowered parrot tulips (above)? They are very unusual and colorful, with various shades of peach and orange, streaks of reds and even green spots and no two of them look exactly alike. The buds on these are just starting to open, and so far, I love them!

I still have a few more varieties left yet to bloom, they’re filled with buds right now so I may have yet another new ‘favorite’ when they bloom.
