This is a blue Endless Summer hydrangea. I have three of these shrubs, and I’m growing this particular one in a container. These hydrangeas bloom on old and new wood and repeat bloom throughout the summer. When in bloom, these shrubs stand out more than anything else in the yard. In acid soil, the blooms are a beautiful deep blue. In alkaline soil, the blooms are pink.

Those are very beautiful flowers and a very resistant plant.
You should come to Portugal, specially to Azores where you would amaze your eyes with hundreds of them along roads!

I remember gardeners used to put old nails and rusty metals in the ground around these to get them to change colour.. ..

Hi Quinttarantino,
Oh, what a beautiful sight that must be. I would love to see a roadside with hundreds of these plants!

Hi Tom,
I remember my grandmother doing the same thing, putting old nails in the ground around the hydrangeas. I love the blue color in acid soil.
