Rainy day flowers

herb planter with rooted cuttingsphoto at left: herb planter I use to root cuttings in It was a rainy, hot and sticky day here today. Including the thunderstorms we had last night, we’ve had about three quarters of an inch of rain so far. We definitely needed it though, as it was getting very dry here again. I hope we don’t have another dry summer like last year. I lost so many trees and shrubs over the last two years, due to the worst drought in history here. Thank goodness we’ve had close to normal rainfall lately, and the flowers and trees are all thriving right now.

Thanks, Quinttarantino. I like to take the flower photos on cloudy overcast days , it makes the colors stand out so much. I love that purple petunia too. :)

These photos are wonderful, I like that toad, we have a few frogs in our garden. Rainy days are the most beautiful for taking photos.

  5. Sherry Says:

Thank you Suzanne. I like that toad being there too, he catches bugs on my flowers. :)

Stunning flowers, and the toad is a cracker. We had one that lived in our compost heap feeding of all the insects.. it was there for years.

  7. Sherry Says:

Hi Tom, we have so many toads here that I’m always careful not to step on one in the yard. I like them living in my flower beds — yes, they catch a lot of insects (and slugs). Thanks for your comments.

I am envious of your toad. What a super picture. And the flowers are exquisite.

It is a reality that wines produced basically of herbs are the best in the market. Herbs in particular have a lot of medicinal value and are being used world over to conveniently handdle health problems. They are also very good for body build-up. What a great gift from God.
