Lilacs

My lilac bushes are at peak bloom right now, and they are so pretty. In sunlight they look lavendar to light pink, and after the sun goes down they look deep purple in the late evening light. I can smell them all over the yard and even inside the house.

These are so lovely. Lilacs are on my list of plants I wish I could grow; unfortunately I live in too hot a climate. One day I am going to visit a place when the lilacs are in bloom so that I can enjoy the smell.

Thanks Jan, the smell is wonderful and this is one of my favorite shrubs.

I do envy you your almost tropical climate even if you can’t grow lilacs!
