cardinal in a white pine tree

We had a beautiful day here today, with temperatures at an unbelievable 75 degrees! What a difference from last week’s ice! I spent most of the day outdoors, enjoying the sunshine, birds, buds, and blooms, all of which are bright spots of color here and there throughout the yard and the woods. Take a look at a few snapshots taken today, from a colorful cardinal, to bright yellow dandelions, forsythia against a blue sky, the bright green of the Stella D’oro lilies coming up, blue periwinkle and violet flowers, tiny white wildflowers, the bud-filled flowering plum tree, and bright red new growth on the roses and redtip bushes… I love spring!
