After almost 3 inches of rain in the past few days, combined with heavy rains several days ago, our little creek in the secret garden began flowing again, if only for a day. Due to the severe drought in our area, it has been completely dry for more than 2 years.

Of course, it’s just overflow from the mountains above us and it disappeared last night, but it was nice to see it flowing again, if only for a little while. This is the most water I’ve seen running out of these woods in a very long time. Here’s hoping the drought is lessening and that the rains continue…
