Mums are blooming

yellow and purple mumsThe chrysanthemums are filled with buds, and several clumps are already in bloom. Even though dozens of annuals and some perennials are still blooming profusely in my yard, the mums and asters and falling poplar leaves make it feel as if fall is here.

Yes, they are blooming and so glorious! They are for sale everywhere you go and I’m so tempted… I’d like to see a little rain before I get some mums. The mums I plant don’t usually come back the following year :o/

Mary, I know, I love them too! I’m more than tempted, I can’t resist, lol I have several perennial clumps that get bigger every year, but I also add more every fall — they’re so pretty.

Wells, springs, and creeks are drying up here, the lake is lower than it’s ever been this time of year, trees and shrubs are dying, leaves are falling… I don’t know what we’re going to do if it doesn’t start raining soon!

You have company… We are starting to worry - seriously worry.
